De Vrijheid is a complex consisting of 140 social rental apartments with a total floor area of approximately 13,700m2, surrounding a large atrium with a green courtyard, as well as two green rooftop terraces and private outdoor spaces for all apartments. The ground floor of the apartment complex includes a bicycle storage area and a commercial space. The architect for the project is Atelier Kempe Thill.

At the request of Trebbe, Bureau Bouwkunde was responsible for the technical development of the Final Design into a Technical Design-Specification for the De Vrijheid apartment complex in the new Bajes Kwartier neighbourhood in Amsterdam. Subsequently, we provided the Construction-ready Design and rental drawings. The Final Design documents were developed by Bureau Bouwkunde in a 3D BIM model, in collaboration with the structural engineer and installer. Construction has already begun.
