The Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, at Media Park in Hilversum, stands out for its unique glass façade, the canyon created in the building and the grand atrium. The building had to accommodate a large archive, an information center and also serve as a service institution for professionals and the public with an accompanying museum. All this has been translated into a design in which all functions are visible and in which the atrium, as the central space, connects the various components.
